Long-term support for survivors. Justice-informed care. A new standard of recovery.
Who We Are
A survivor-centered recovery and rehabilitation organization dedicated to supporting individuals impacted by sexual violence — especially those facing complex and long-term trauma.
This is restoration. This is justice. This is Her Voice Matters.
We are building something rare — a structured, long-term recovery system designed specifically for survivors of sexual violence. Not a hotline. Not a single session. A home base for the entire journey.
Every Survivor Has a Story
Survivors of sexual violence are some of the most resilient people in the world. They carry weight that most people will never understand — and they deserve support that matches that weight.
At HVM, we see you. We believe you. And we are committed to walking with you — not just through the crisis, but through the entire journey of healing and restoration.
What Makes Us Different
We walk with survivors beyond the initial moment of trauma. Our model provides sustained, phased care designed for complex and high-risk cases.
We believe survivors deserve access to justice navigation, legal education, and empowerment — not just emotional support.
Recovery is more than therapy. We address safety, housing stability, career readiness, and community reconnection.

About Us
Her Voice Matters Foundation was created to address a critical gap in survivor care: long-term recovery and justice support.
We exist because the current system fails survivors after crisis. We are building the infrastructure for what comes next — real recovery, real restoration, real justice.
To provide structured recovery, education, and justice navigation for survivors of sexual violence.
To redefine how survivors are supported — locally, nationally, and globally.
Our Core Values
A Note From Our Founder
This organization was born out of a gap I saw repeatedly — survivors being given a hotline number and sent on their way. No follow-up. No long-term plan. No justice. I built Her Voice Matters to change that.
Every survivor deserves more than crisis response. They deserve a structured path to healing, education about their rights, and someone who will walk beside them — not just for a phone call, but for the entire journey.
— Millicent, Founder & CEO
This is more than support. This is restoration. This is justice. This is Her Voice Matters.
Our Programs
Every program is designed to meet survivors where they are and walk with them through every stage of healing and empowerment.
Trauma-informed education, emotional and psychological rebuilding, and identity and self-worth restoration. Long-term, structured care designed to go far beyond crisis response.
Understanding legal rights, court process education, and guided support through reporting and legal systems. Survivors should never navigate the justice system alone.
A reality-based education series addressing re-victimization prevention, boundaries, and empowerment through knowledge. Includes our 5-week trauma education group model.
Survivor networks and group-based healing environments where women and teens find understanding, solidarity, and belonging.
We bring education and awareness directly to incarcerated women and teens — addressing trauma and unmet survivor needs in justice-involved populations.
Optional faith components — healing through spiritual identity, purpose restoration, and faith-informed recovery for those who seek it.
Every program starts with a conversation. Reach out and let us walk with you.

Why Long-Term Care Matters

Faith-Based Awareness Program
We bring structured survivor education and awareness training directly into churches and faith organizations across the country.
Her Voice Matters Foundation has already begun the work - bringing structured survivor education and awareness training directly to faith communities across the country.
At Youngs Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church in New Market, Tennessee, we hosted a community training that equipped participants with the tools, awareness, and certification to support survivors in their own communities.
"This is what partnership looks like - real communities, real training, real change."
What We Cover
Learn to identify warning signs of sexual violence, grooming behaviors, and coercive control within faith and community settings.
Practical, trauma-informed guidance on how to respond when a survivor discloses - what to say, what not to say, and how to support without re-traumatizing.
Build safer environments within your congregation through policy development, boundary education, and accountability structures.
Optional faith-integrated components for spiritual identity restoration, purpose-driven recovery, and faith-informed healing for those who seek it.
What We Offer

Specialized training for pastors, ministry leaders, and church staff on recognizing abuse, mandatory reporting, and creating safe church environments.
